Viva!
We finally seem to be past the rain and rain and rain.
Which means the wildflower revolution can not be far behind.
A preponderance of purples, and poppies, peppering the hills in the area.
And speaking of revolution
How wonderful that the world is routing itself together through digital communication
Like the mycelium of a fungal colony.
I like to think that once the heart floral gunpowder
Ignites in the hearts of the populace
The contagion of awakeness will move through the land like a wildfire.
The culture of surveillance
May just watch itself turn on.

A photo of a regular street scene on a regular day:
Of course, if you don't live here,
it might seem spectacular.
Maybe it is.

World as practice.
I was stopped at a traffic light with this freestyle bicyclist.
After watching him bust mad air off of the curbs,
I readied my camera at the next stop light,
resulting in the following series:

Hard, yet soft.
This steel post traces a soft path around a utility pole.
Seemingly static, yet not immune to the forces
of time and change. As Neil Young said,
"Rust Never Sleeps."

Into the clear.
After record March rains *(see below) in the Bay Area,
are we finally looking out of the rain box
and into the season of dry?

and into the season of dry?
*San Francisco had 25 days of rain in March, breaking the previous record of 23 days set in 1904. Oakland, San Rafael and Santa Rosa also broke rain related records in March.
