Coming and Going.

Sixty-six times have these eyes beheld the changing scene of autumn
I have said enough about moonlight, Ask no more.
Only listen to the voice of pines and cedars when no wind stirs.

Lady of the Lake, Magnetizing Redwoods, Soul Watering.

Love trees. Trees love. Tree love.

Who's winning the war?
How can I save the world?
What is the purpose of my life?

Beyond the questions,
Some water the redwoods.

Don't think about this,
Sit with the trees.

What do you notice?

Bad Day to own a Light Rail Vehicle.

The local media has reported on yesterday's light rail breakdown, but almost none of the stories has mentioned that most people were unable to get on the limited number of shuttle buses deployed to move people along the commuter routes. Their remaining alternative? Walking to work. Perhaps not the most comfortable scenario for people heading downtown in formal footwear. It was like a scene out of Spielberg's War of the Worlds, without the hysteria. A mass migration of morning commuters down Market Street, carrying brief cases and laptop bags. I was amongst the throngs of bicycle riders cruising along the bicycle lanes. I was fantasizing about bicycle sales going up this weekend, as fed-up commuters decide to take the sensible alternative of bicycle transport. One can always hope . . .
